Transcending Self, Building Dreams for the Future | The 14th NAR sports meet ended successfully

On November 16, 2024, the 14th Nar Sports Meet, themed “Transcending Self, Building Dreams for the Future,” concluded successfully. As an activity deeply loved by Nar employees, the sports meet has gradually become an indispensable tradition, not only enriching the employees’ leisure life but also actively promoting teamwork and the spirit of striving. Over 300 corporate athletes from the Shanghai and Nantong factories participated in this event, adding boundless vitality and brilliance with their sweat and cheers.

In the lead-up to the sports meet, fitness activities and preliminary competitions were held, successfully completing the selection of six events, including short rope skipping, cycling distance race, and Chinese 8-ball. On the day of the sports meet, a total of eleven events were set, each blending elements of fun, entertainment, cooperation, and competition.

Opening of the Sports Meet

At the opening ceremony, Chairman You Aiguo of Nar delivered a speech, energizing the athletes and igniting their fighting spirit. Subsequently, the referee representative Zhou Ningyu and the athlete representative Yang Qingfeng solemnly took the oath on stage, their determined gazes and loud voices clearly declaring the fair, impartial, and transparent principles of the sports meet. Following this, the athlete representative led everyone in warm-up exercises, with all employees performing uniform movements, creating a positive and uplifting atmosphere at the scene.

 

 

On the sports field, the fixed-point basketball shooting station saw athletes fully focused, aiming at the basket, and accurately shooting each ball. In the volleyball relay, team members cooperated seamlessly, striving hard for their teams’ honor. In the long rope jumping competition, team members jumped in unison, demonstrating a high level of coordination. The tug-of-war match was filled with passion, as the athletes, with their determined eyes and high spirits, tightly gripped the long rope, leaned back, and pushed with their feet, pulling with all their might. The cheers and encouragement from the audience rose higher and higher, almost reaching the clouds.

 

 

The “Big Footsteps for a Shared Future” project tested the team’s cooperation skills, with team members walking in perfect synchronization, steadily moving forward. The dart and frisbee bowling events were full of fun, with participants throwing with confidence and concentration.

 

 

On the 4x100 meter relay, women’s 800 meters, and men’s 1500 meters tracks, whether it was the lightning-fast sprint or the endurance challenge of long-distance running, every moment was thrilling. The allure of “speed” was fully unleashed.

 

On the basketball court, male team members from Shanghai and Nantong gave their all, running, jumping, and breaking through the other team’s tight defenses. Each dribble and shot was executed with fluid and precise movements, and the scoreboards fluctuated, showcasing the teams’ excellent coordination and relentless fighting spirit.

 

Finally, the entire executive team participated in the 1500-meter run. They persisted with determination, racing forward bravely. The cheers and encouragement from the audience were continuous, and the spirit of perseverance inspired everyone present, immersing them in a lively and dynamic atmosphere.

 

 

 

Moments of Honor

After intense competition, the winners stepped onto the podium one by one, becoming the focus of the entire venue. The executive team presented awards to the athlete representatives. Finally, the rotating president Tao Fusheng delivered the closing speech, bringing this splendid sports meet to a perfect close.

Over time, the Nar Sports Meet has become an important bond that connects the emotions of Nar employees and enhances team cohesion. Its unique charm has made the tradition continue from generation to generation, providing an excellent stage for showcasing individual flair and team strength.
