On November 20, 2024, a delegation of five leaders, including Tian Xinmin, Deputy Dean of the Antai College of Economics and Management at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Deputy Dean of the Industry Research Institute, and Executive Dean of the Shenzhen Research Institute, as well as Jiang Xuesong, Standing Deputy Dean of the Chemical Engineering College, visited Nar Corporation to attend the signing ceremony of a collaborative research, industry, and education (R&D) agreement. In attendance were You Aiguo, Chairman of Nar Corporation, Li Ziqiang, Investment Consultant, and Ding Lili, Dean of the Nar Research Institute.
Xia Xuewu, Assistant to the President, first led the visiting leaders on a tour of Nar Corporation's new exhibition hall, providing a detailed introduction to the company's development history and current status. Jiang Xuesong, Standing Deputy Dean and an expert in the field of polymer materials, expressed recognition and approval of the advanced research level and high-tech industrial applications demonstrated by Nar Corporation's main products, such as digital printing materials and paint protection films.
Chairman You Aiguo of Nar Corporation extended a warm welcome to the delegation of leaders from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Subsequently, Li Ziqiang, Investment Consultant, provided a comprehensive report on the phase achievements and research and development directions of the hydrogen energy business. Professor Li Lei from the Chemical Engineering College of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, a seasoned expert in the hydrogen, lithium, and other new energy industries, emphasized the long-term technical expertise of his research team in the hydrogen sector, the history of their connection with Nar Corporation, and the specific work carried out on the development of PEM membrane electrodes for the joint collaboration project.
Under the joint witness of both parties, Nar Corporation and Shanghai Jiao Tong University signed a cooperation agreement for industry-university-research collaboration. In the future, they will jointly develop high-performance electrolysis hydrogen membrane electrode products.
After the signing ceremony, Deputy Director Zhang Xuan of the Industry Research Institute Office of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, President Ding Li of the Nar Research Institute, and Technical Manager Liu Guoliang of the Hydrogen Energy Division, among other attendees, had a thorough exchange on the specific matters of cooperation. Vice Dean Jiang Xuesong pointed out that the field of hydrogen energy is a strength of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and the School of Chemical Engineering can provide ample technical and research support for the industry-university-research collaboration. Vice Dean Jiang hopes that through the promotion of the PEM membrane electrode project, both the corporate researchers and the faculty and students of the school can make joint progress in technical areas, striving to build an environmentally friendly industry and achieve low-carbon sustainable development. Dean Tian also used the policy guidance and financial support for the hydrogen energy industry in Shandong Province as an example to emphasize the significant impact of national and local policies on technology transfer and the expansion of application scenarios. He encouraged Nar Corporation and the School of Chemical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University to delve deeper into the research on PEM membrane electrode technology, accelerate the realization of technology commercialization, and actively address the challenges and market uncertainties that may arise in the future.
