Strengthen Foundations, Empower Growth – Pursue Lean Excellence for Greater Efficiency.

Work teams are the smallest operational units in production. As the key link between management and frontline staff, team leaders’ management skills directly shape site order, morale, and efficiency. To address grassroots challenges and help technical experts become effective managers, NAR held the TWI-JR  training on July 13–17. Delivered by JITA-certified trainer Huang Zhen, the program covered supervisors from production, logistics, quality, and facilities over 5 days (6 sessions, 12 class hours) of systematic learning and hands-on practice, equipping them with lean management tools to close the implementation gap.

Deepening TWI Lean for Scientific People Management

As the cornerstone of lean manufacturing worldwide, the TWI system enables JIT and Kaizen and is dubbed the "genetic code" of competitiveness. This TWI-JR training zeroed in on people skills, addressing the gap between operational know-how and people management among frontline supervisors, and building a full-scale standardized team management framework.

The course systematically breaks down five core supervisory competencies, four key principles for team harmony, the TWI-JR four-stage closed-loop problem-solving process, and a four-tier proactive prevention mechanism. It emphasizes hands-on, scenario-based learning over theory, with all cases drawn from NAR's real production operations. This immersive, practical classroom ensures that management methods can be applied immediately after training.

Training Wraps Up, Talent Growth Continues

The training featured a comprehensive assessment mechanism. All 17 participants completed the full program, including case studies, exercises, and post-training assignments. Those who passed received JITA-certified completion certificates, which were added to their individual training files and will serve as key references for performance evaluation and promotion decisions.

Participants reported that the training went beyond traditional experience-based thinking and provided them with actionable, standardized management tools. They plan to apply TWI-JR methods to daily team communication, employee coaching, and issue resolution, aiming to boost both team morale and production efficiency.
